0745 Deenergized anchor light  

0945 started diesel in preparation for getting underway

1000 underway from anchorage to Georgetown Yacht basin for a two day in port to ride out tropical storm Ernesto”

1300 in slip on F-Dock at George town yacht basin, diesel secured, taking electric services from the pier.

1400 Crossed moored in preparation for storm winds and tide.

 

20060830 0900 Summer Run Nothern bay

0900 once again checked the diesel cooling water. Working fine. Looks like that issue is resolved.   

1030 Singled lines and took in shore power in preparation for getting underway.

1040 cast off and backed out from the tee-head to the Susquehanna river. Sea frost energized and wind generator on. Sailing on the jib into the outbound channel.

1115 raised the main as I pass fishing battery islands. Turned east and sheeted in to a windward run the rest of the way down the channel. 1210 Cleared the channel at bouy “G-1″ Sailing with the MYC fleet and doing the small racing between boats. 1525 Started diesel, secured all sails.1600 Rafted up to Slainte at N039 Deg 22′ 30″ and W075 Deg  ’57′ 00″ with a starboard side tie. Secured Deisel, commenced wine tasting party. Anchor light energized.

20060829 1000 Summer Run northern bay

0930 Cooling water issues again this morning on diesel start, sealed a couple of fittings high in the Seafrost heat exchanger and primed the cooling water again. Pump is working but the system bleeds down overnight. Wind and low tide made departure difficult on the flats of the Bohemia.

1000 Departed the Bohemia River from anchorage at N039 Deg 39′ 45″ Latitdue and W075 53′ 30″ Longitude. Bound under sail for Havre De Grace and mooring on a tee-head. Sailing on the Jib.

1035 Raised the main, sailing Jib and main on a beam reach. Wind from the east south east at 5.

1100 In the channel headed south west from Ford Landing. wind decreased to 3 knts.

1145 White Crystal Beach abeam to port, wind has died. Started the Diesel and cooling water worked fine! 2000 rpm approximatly 5 kts/per hour. engaged seafrost.

1200 Came right to cross the channel now south of Turkey Point headed for GR C “ER” marking teh southern end of the Turkey Point Flats.

1220 Turned West North West to RG “A” and the run up the channel into Havre De Grace.

1410 Exited Channel at Havre De Grace. Took on full tank of fuel and tided up at marina. Port Side too, taking electric services from the pier.
